Resources for Military Veterans,
Families and Survivors
The ALS Association is working everyday to support people with ALS and their families, including our heroes who have served in the military and who are approximately twice as likely to develop ALS as those who have not served.
This site is designed specifically for veterans with ALS, their families and survivors. Here you will find the latest news of importance to veterans with ALS, including information about historic new regulations from the Department of Veterans Affairs that establish ALS as a service connected disease. Learn what benefits are available, how you can apply for benefits, and receive answers to frequently asked questions about the new rules.
Also available on this site are links to resources and tools veterans can use to take part in the advocacy efforts that can and do make a difference in the fight against ALS – efforts that have helped to improve benefits for veterans and advanced research for a treatment and cure. If you are a veteran, we encourage you to join our Roll Call Veterans and learn how you can help us find a treatment and ensure veterans receive the care they need, deserve and have earned.
