Steven and I travelled to Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona where Steve was diagnosed with ALS on August 29,2013. In our motel that evening Steven cried however the next morning he awoke with a different attitude. He stated, "This is the hand I was dealt and I'm gonna play it." With that Steven continued to live his life and did things he enjoyed. He died of ALS on September 15, 2015. Steve was a wonderful man, teacher, husband and father. See you again someday. I love you always and forever. I did not wish to look in Steve's VA documents so forgive me if I erred on exact years of service.
