Federico Mendoza 1949 – 2007: Federico was always a soldier: First Vietnam, then 20 yrs. with the National Guard; finally braving his Ultimate Battle with ALS. In dying; he taught us to be brave, to have hope, to keep our faith. He taught us to see reality – not as we expect it to be but as it is.
