My loving husband was a veteran of the Vietnam War, after which he worked as a print shop teacher with Los Angeles Unified School District for 33 years until he retired. He was only retired for 2 years before he was diagnosed with a motor neuron disorder typical of ALS. This was unexpected. Until the year before he was diagnosed, he was very vibrant and active. He never lost his capacity to speak or walk but in his final days labored to breathe, to eat and was very weak. I pray for a cure for this horrible disorder.
