My Peepaw, MSgt Wrightson joined the Marines when he was 18yrs old & was immediately shipped off to Vietnam to fight for his country & his life. He received multiple achievement medals from his superiors to include a Purple Heart for his courageous service in Vietnam. He was diagnosed with ALS in July of 2009 & after a long, self-less, & gracious battle, he left us here on earth to go to his new home in Heaven in Oct of 2013. He blessed every life he touched & he inspired me to serve in the US Air Force. We are all eternally thankful for him, his service, & the VA for the benefits he earned.
