I joined the Air Force in 1954 and retired in 1974. It was a good 20 years and I had a good life in the USAF. I was a jet engine mechanic for 16 years, a flight engineer for two years and management engineer for two years. My wife and I have three girls, all have their masters. I had the first indication of ALS in Dec. 2006 and was diagnosed by Dr. Brooks at the Charlotte ALS Clinic.
