After a childhood as a military brat, Liz Gwilliam (Andreacchio) was commissioned July 05, 1978 as a second lieutenant in the Medical Service Corp, U.S. Army, after completing a 3 year ROTC scholarship. She served in Hanau, Germany and Ft Polk, LA before being honorably discharged as a Captain on June 19, 1984. Liz married an Army officer to continue her journey and had two daughters. After years moving around with the military, Liz was diagnosed with ALS in June 2010. Her two year battle with ALS ended on August 14, 2012 and she is now at peace, interned at Maryland's Veteran Cemetery.
