My dad was career military and persuaded me to join the Air Force. When I got back, I stayed in the Air and Army National Guard. I'm happy to say that I'll be married to my wife Tracey for 29 years this January. We have four wonderful children. I've always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking. In 2007, after returning from a long hike, I was diagnosed with ALS. It is wonderful how the VA has stepped up to help veterans with ALS. Thanks to my friends Dave and Scott Becker, I can continue to hunt and enjoy life. Thank you to my family and friends for encouraging me in the face of adversity.
