Bob attended West Point (USMA) graduating in 1961 and was commissioned to the USAF. For his first assignment he received his master’s degree from the Univ. of Illinois in aerospace engineering. He was eventually stationed at Eglin AFB, FL, and while there he did his postgraduate work for his Doctorate at Auburn Univ. Later, he worked for the Civil Service for over 40 years. In 2001 he was diagnosed with ALS and spent the next three years courageously battling the disease, even taking part in a clinical trial. He lost his battle in 2004 with his family by his side. He will be forever missed.
