I served on the USS Yorktown CVS 10 from 1965 to 1968 lastly as a Lieutenant in the Weapons Dept. I consider my years in the Navy as among the best in my life. I made friendships then that have lasted to the present with frequent get-togethers, frequently aboard the Yorktown in Charleston. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Yorktown Association for a few years which has enabled me to listen to a lot of sea stories and have told a few myself, some of which might have actually happened! ALS is taking away some of those pleasures. Hope they solve the mystery of ALS soon!
