The Effects of a Strengthening Program on Maximum Voluntary Isometric Contraction, Functional Abilities, Fatigue and Quality of Life in Patients with ALS

Hypothesis:
Strength, function, fatigue and QOL will be improved in patients whofollow the study strengthening intervention

Aims:
Prospective, randomized trial to compare outcomes between two groups - control group and intervention group of 40 patients who follow the exercise intervention three times per week over a six month period (upper and lower extremity strengthening program)
