Developing an ALS-Specific QOL Instrument for ALS

Hypotheses:

• An ALS-specific QOL instrument can be developed based on the MQOL questionnaire.
• An ALS-specific QOL instrument should include items which assess spirituality and religiosity.
• New items important in assessing QOL can be identified through expert interviews with a subgroup of patients

Aim:
Design a QOL instrument which is specific for ALS and would include those items which are most important in determining QOL in ALS
