Top Charity Watchdogs Rate The ALS Association with High Marks for Financial Transparency, Accountability

Several top-rated independent organizations that monitor the activities of charities have rated The ALS Association with the highest levels of achievement with regard to financial practices.

The Association has received the highest four-star rating from Charity Navigator, a “Top Rating” from CharityWatch, and the Better Business Bureau charity accreditation as well as Gold Participant level from GuideStar Exchange.

Charity Navigator is the nation’s largest objective charity evaluator. The group awarded The Association with its four-star rating, affirming our commitment to fiscal transparency and accountability. Receiving a highly-sought-after four out of four star score also demonstrates our assurance of adhering to financial best practices and implementing our mission statement in an economically responsible manner. According to Charity Navigator, only one quarter of the charitable organizations it reviews receives this coveted ranking.

CharityWatch also deems The Association has met rigorous standards for financial efficiency and accountability. Of the nearly 600 charities this organization ranks, The Association is included in its top 100 charities.

The Association has also garnered a Gold participant level from GuideStar Exchange due to our pledge to data transparency and has obtained accreditation from the Better Business Bureau for meeting standards pertinent to governance and financial efficacy.
