The ALS Association Offers Guide to Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit

October 23, 2012

The ALS Association encourages people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) who are enrolled in Medicare to be aware of the annual Open Enrollment period, which takes place between October 15 and December 7, 2012.  In order to ensure people with ALS have the best coverage available to meet prescription drug and health care needs, The ALS Association offers an online guide that may be beneficial as they review options for 2013.

It is important that people with ALS who have enrolled in the Medicare drug benefit take the time to review their prescription drug plan options, even if they are satisfied with their current plan. Many plans have made important changes to their benefits for the upcoming year. Therefore, a person's current plan may or may not be the best plan for them.
