"ALS has affected all of us...too many lives cut short."Bill T. Sterling, Virginia
My name is Bill Thoet, and I’m the Chairman of the Board of Trustees with The ALS Association. As those familiar with the disease know, ALS doesn’t get as much attention as other diseases because people don’t think it has a high chance as affecting them. But ALS has affected all of us in the United States in a significant way. In my video I share the story of a man named Brad Smith, who died of ALS in 1999. His incredible story highlights why we must find treatments and a cure for this disease so that people can live longer, productive lives.
