Mary’s story

Denise A. Gaston, Oregon

My wife Mary was someone who made every feel loved and heard. Her motto was "Love is all there is", and she lived it, even after she was diagnosed with ALS at age 55. FTD came along and changed everything. She died in 2015, 22 months after diagnosis and 8 months after being trached/vented. She died in the hospital she had lived in for those 8 months because there were no care facilities willing to take her because of the amount of care she needed. Everyone who knew her spoke of how they felt unconditional love from her. My kids miss their "Supermom" and I will always miss my Wifey.
