The ALS Association Disaster Relief Fund

The ALS Association is working diligently to provide support and assistance for people living with ALS and their families in areas affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. The ALS Association Disaster Relief Fund was established to ensure that people living with ALS have access to chapter services and programs as they begin rebuilding their lives following the devastation of a natural disaster.

How We Are Helping

Our care services teams have been actively reaching out to people with ALS in the affected areas. Many have evacuated, many are sheltering in their homes, many we have still not been able to reach. We are doing continued outreach to ensure their needs are met.

In Texas, we are setting up staging facilities in affected areas that will store necessary medical and respiratory equipment, nutrition supplies, and personal care items for people with ALS.
