Serving people living with ALS in: Georgia

As a result of the Ice Bucket Challenge, the ALS Association Georgia Chapter was able to launch the Georgia Chapter Care Grant Program. The Care Grant Program assists families with expenses that are not traditionally covered by insurance, such as home care assistance (respite), travel costs related to ALS Clinics and research, home and automobile modifications, and communication devices. Recipients may apply for and receive two grants per year up to $500 each.

Along with the Care Grant Program, The Georgia Chapter was able to expand its Patient Support Group to Gwinnett County.
