The ALS Association Research Council

The distinguished members of The ALS Association’s Research Council share a common interest in finding viable treatment options and, ultimately, a cure for ALS and have taken a leadership role in the fight against ALS through their designated support of The Association’s world premier ALS research program. 

The ALS Association’s cutting-edge research program incorporates the following vital strategies:

  • Peer-reviewed investigator-initiated scientific studies
  • Cure-directed ALS Association-initiated research
  • The Milton Safenowitz Post-Doctoral Fellowship for ALS Research, Clinical Investigator, Young Investigator, and Discovery Grant Awards
  • Scientific workshops and symposia

You can become a member of The ALS Association’s Research Council by making a significant gift to support The ALS Association’s research efforts.  Members of the Research Council will be recognized in The ALS Association’s annual report, as follows, for their very special support:

Diamond Level--Members at this level receive regular research updates to keep you abreast of the latest news in the study of ALS, an invitation to participate in two Roundtable Conference Calls with ALS Association Science Director Lucie Bruijn, Ph.D., an invitation to attend a private reception with Dr. Bruijn, plus a special certificate inscribed with your name, recognition on our website and in our annual report
  2. Platinum Level--Members at this level receive regular research updates, an invitation to participate in two Roundtable Conference Calls, plus a special certificate inscribed with your name, recognition on our website and in our annual report
  3. Gold Level--Members at this level receive regular research updates, an invitation to participate in one Roundtable Conference Call, plus a special certificate inscribed with your name, recognition on our website and in our annual report
  4. Silver Level--Regular research updates, plus a special certificate inscribed with your name, recognition on our website and in our annual report
