Served briefly on the USS Paul Revere (LPA 248) and when the ship was decommissioned I spent the remaining 3 years as a Photographer Mate with the Pacific Fleet Combat Camera Group based out of North Island, San Diego, CA. The work was quite interesting and rewarding. I was diagnosed with ALS almost 4 years ago but I felt the effects several years earlier. My doctor informs me that I have the slower version of ALS which is a good because it allows me more time with Tammy, the love of my life. I still work full time but the effects of ALS will force me to retire soon and pursue my bucket list:)
