Just thought I was getting older-fell 7 times while Elk hunting in Colorado. Two months later I was diagnosed with ALS. Coming home from the VA Hospital after the EMG and NCV to tell my wife was hard, the four kids harder, my two brothers and sister as hard as the kids, but telling my dad was the worst of all – I have ALS. My wife Becky and I had spent the last 5-years building our dream home on Lake Gaston, NC with visions of large family get-togethers and grandchildren fishing off the dock. Now we are planning on how I will get in and out of bed and living each day hoping for a cure.
