Raymond J Sacker

Branch: Army
Served: 1959 - 1961
Hometown: Fowlerville, MI
Written by: Marilynn Sacker , wife
Ray started having difficulties walking about 5 years ago. His right leg just wouldn't do what he told it to do. We went to many doctors, until finally we went to the Cleveland Clinic, where they diagnosed him with ALS on April 19, 2012. They gave him 1 to 2 years to live, but he only made it 8 more months. He died in St Josephs Hospital December 15, 2012. We pray this horific disease will have a cure soon. It is a terribly cruel disease. His 3 sons, 7 grandchildren and all the family miss him terribly. He loved working on cars and boating. May he and all vets rest in peace.
