Isabelo E. Canete

Branch: Navy
Served: 1954 - 1974
Hometown: Camarillo, CA
Written by: Jaine Menes , Daughter
Our loving, fun, generous, and awesome dad, Isabelo Enriquez Canete, born and raised in Basilan, Philippines, proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years followed by 17 years for the Civil Service. He was diagnosed only 2 months before his death on December 8, 2012. He lived a long and fulfilled life with his wife, Adelina, of 54 1/2 years, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It is our family's hope that a cure for ALS will be found as well as a reason that those serving our country are twice as likely to get this disease. We love you Dad!
