MSG Anthony Ray Cogdill, served 35 years in the U.S. National Guard. He was deployed to Iraq in ‘03 for 15 months. His next deployment was in 2011, due to medical reasons he was not able to leave with his unit the same time they did, but with much dedication he got his clearence to go.Once in Afganistan his soldiers noticed he was not able to perform simple tasks. He went to the medics and found out he had a broke neck he came home,had surgery and yet the symptoms wern't getting any better.In Dec. 2011 he was diagnosed with ALS.He's still serving his country and living each day to the fullest.
