Walter Buhler was fiercely proud to have served in the United States Airforce for 4 years. He spent a year in Pleiku, Vietnam during his service and eventually worked for 35 years at Massport Fire Department, retiring as a Lieutenant. He was diagnosed with A.L.S. in early 2012, and passed away from the disease on August 20, 2012. He was a fighter his entire life, and fought strong and brave during his battle with the disease.
