Charles A. Thore

Branch: Navy
Served: 1982 - 1990
Hometown: Tonawanda, NY
Written by: Kristen Thore , Wife
My husband, Charles Thore, served in the Navy from July 1982 – December 1990. He was aboard the USS Ranger CV-61 and worked as a flight deck support equipment mechanic. After that, he was stationed in Falon, NV and worked as MP and is very proud to have served those 9 years. His father was in the Navy, his older son James served in the Marine reserves, and younger son Christopher serves in the Army Old Guard in Arlington, VA. Chuck was always a very active person. He was a mechanic, hunter, the ‘jack-of-all-trades’ kind of guy and was always there to help anyone in need.
