Patrick D. Courter

Branch: Army
Served: 1969 - 1971
Hometown: Carlton, OR
Written by: Sharron Courter , Wife
Patrick died on August 12, 2012 at his home in Carlton Oregon after a courageous battle with ALS. He only lived 9 months after his diagnosis. Patrick did his best to make the most of each day and did not complain even on the worst days. Patrick served honorably in Vietnam and he received the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. Even after knowing that he was dying of a disease related to his service in Vietnam, he said he was proud that he served his country.
