I served as a Navy Corpsman, then went onto nursing school, stationed in San Diego and Philadelphia. I continued to work for Veterans Affairs Hospital Pittsburgh from 1990-2001.
A Navy man NEVER gives up the ship, and I plan to keep fighting through this journey; although its the most difficult time in my life thus far. I was diagnosed in April 2010.
Never let ALS end your life, but embrace it to open the door to a new way of life, live...learn...love...most of all FIGHT.
