Millard Lawson was a fifteen year old boy when he went off to join the service and see the world. After spending some time at various bases within the United States, he was shipped off to Europe to fight during WWII. While fighting valiantly with his platoon, he was captured and endured many months in a German prisoner of war camp. Upon returning to the states, he met and married Leota Drew. They raised eleven children together. He outlived three of those children, until his own diagnosis with ALS. He fought the good fight to the end. Well done dad........WELL DONE. He went home Feb. 4, 2012
