I served for 15 years in various specialities in the Army. I was the Army's shortest Officer standing at 4 foot 7 inches tall. I left the Army with the rank of Captain. I was diagnosed with ALS in 2010 and am living independently in a beautiful retirement home. I am writing a book about my journey with retirement and ALS.
