Luis served proudly in the U.S.Army,stationed in Vietnam he was decorated as a sharpshooter in the Airbourne Division.2 years after his honorable service,he married and alongside his wife of 43 years raised 5 children and 16 grandchildren. In early 2010 after much deterioration and misdiagnoses we were introduced to RWJ hospital. With the help of RWJ in 5/2011 came a diagnosis and a short-lived fight with ALS.Much to our dismay in 10/2011,our father, friend, and hero lost his battle with this crippling disease. In remembrance of Luis Journett we are dedicated to create awareness and find a cure.
