Earl Adams served as an Infantry squad leader in World War2 in Europe. After going to Washington State College on the GI Bill, he was commissioned a 2nd lieutenant in 1949. He served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired in 1978 as a full Colonel and Senior Adviser to the Washington State National Guard
