David enlisted in the Air Force in 1974 as a weather observer. He served in many places during his 20 year career including Germany, Turkey and Nebraska. In 2006 he started having speech problems and after a benign tumor was removed from his brain, he continued to suffer symptoms. In 2009 he was diagnosed with ALS. Sadly, he lost his battle in April 2010. He left behind a strong legacy that includes 3 children and 2 grandchildren. He is deeply missed.
