David enlisted in the US Air Force September of 1994 as a Telephone Systems Technician. He was stationed at Kelly Air Force Base, Texas, and Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska as well as serving a one year remote tour at Osan Air Base, South Korea. David deployed to Eskan Village, Saudi Arabia in 2001 in support of Operation Southern Watch and Ali Al Salem, Kuwait in 2004 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Shortly thereafter, David started experiencing weakness in his right arm and was ultimately diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was 35. He is married with three young children.
