"Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same." -- David Nelson, a proud Navy vet, lost his battle with ALS on October 1, 2003 -- a mere eight months after his diagnosis. To say his time with us was too short is an understatement. It was a privilege to know him and an honor to call him "my friend". His dignity, courage and laughter touched all who knew him.
