William M. Stallings

Branch: Air Force
Served: 1943 - 1965
Hometown: Lakeland , FL
Written by: Richard Stallings , Son
My father was a Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force and retired after 22 years. He went to work for Honeywell and Westinghouse and retired from Westinghouse in 1985. He was always a very active father of four married to my mother for 62 years and played Golf into his late 70's. November 25, 2005 he was diagnosed with ALS. He was admitted into Hospice at the Community Living Center at the Orlando VA Medical Center where I worked, he went down hill very quickly. He lost the ability to walk, setup, could not use his hands or speak, but he never lost his SMILE. He passed on 7/28/2006
