I served 4 years in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1985. I worked for several years after the Army and was also a high school football coach. In the fall of 2007, I started having trouble gripping things with my hands. After several months of testing, the diagnosis of ALS came in June of 2008. I am currently confined to a wheelchair as mobility is very limited. With the help of my wonderful family and friends, I remain strong on the inside as I continue this battle with ALS.
