Larry M. Scott

Branch: Army
Served: 1965 - 1967
Hometown: Haven, KS
Written by: Paula Scott , spouse
Larry (Mike) Scott served in Vietnam during 1965-66 as a company clerk with an MP company. He was based in Saigon. Mike, as we called him, developed ALS in 2007 over a period of just a few months. ALS struck him in the lungs first instead of last, and he died just 3 short weeks after his diagnosis. He was placed on an industrial ventilator as a life saving measure even before his diagnosis. We struggled with the backwards nature of this disease, but continue to learn about it as we support in the fight to find a cure for this terrible disease. We miss you, Mike. God Bless.
