I was diagnosed in November 2008. The disease started in the thumbs of my hands. I am currently rated 100% disabled above the waist by the VA; and still have limited use of both my legs. However, the left one is very weak. I was in the U.S. Air Force as a radar operator, stationed in Hanna City, Illinois, serving from 1958 to 1962.
