Karl was born in Brooklyn NY on Nov. 4, 1940. Graduated from the USMA, West Point in June 1965, entered the USAF and served in various locations. While in the USAF he earned his medical degree. He retired from the USAF in Aug. 1991,from the Med Ctr at WPAFB, OH, at which time he went into private practice. He was diagnosed with ALS in Nov.2004.He was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He lived his life to the fullest, enjoying his family and friends, until his death on Jan. 29,2010, in Dayton, OH
