My husband, Jerry served honorably in the Navy on the USS Abnaki and USS Camden, during the Vietnam war from 1967 til 1971. He was diagnosed with ALS in Jan. 2001 and lost his valiant battle in Jan. 2007. He loved serving his country. He was a great husband, father, "grandpa", son, brother, uncle and godfather to his family, who he loved very much. He loved life and was taken from us too soon.
