Barry served in the U.S. Army from 1974-1978. In 2009 he was diagnosed with ALS and on June 21, 2011 he died from the complications of this disease in a VA hospital in Lakewood, Washington. He leaves behind a widow and five children, three of whom are under the age of 18. We believe that until a cure is found we have a moral obligation to continue to fight to find that cure.
