Ronald P. Lindskog

Branch: Army
Served: 1966 - 1968
Hometown: Oak Lawn, IL
Drafted into the US Army in 1966, went to Vietnam Feb 1967 thru Feb 1968, discharged Sep 1968 Ft.Bragg NC. Went into Law Enforcement Mar 1969 and retired in 2003. I have 6 children,6 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. In 2005 I moved to the Southwest to enjoy retirement with wife. Everything was great.. no more snow to shovel and warm weather until May 2010. My wife thought I had a stroke because my speech was slurred. On Sept 23, 2010, I was diagnosed with ALS (Bulbar). I think the worst part of this disease for me is the ability not to speak. You can't let it take you over mentally. Think positive and keep fighting.
