Director, Education & Professional Development Programs

Care Services is one of the three mission areas of the ALS Association. (The other two are research and advocacy). We have the privilege of working with 15,000 people living with ALS across the United States through a network of 41 affiliated chapters, over 130 clinical partners, and other like-minded organizations. We facilitate cross-department deliverables at the national office and strive to continually identify needs of our communities to offer programs and materials to address those needs. In addition, we help ensure high quality educational opportunities for providers serving people with ALS.

Director, Chapter Relations

Reporting to the Vice President, Chapter Relations, the Director, Chapter Relations will serve as key liaison to the leadership of the Chapters, working collaboratively within The Association to communicate opportunities and resources available to affiliates. Primary responsibilities include provision of consultation and assistance to chapter executives and volunteer leadership in all aspects of non-profit management and board governance. The Director, Chapter Relations will assess organizational effectiveness of assigned chapters, monitor progress, recommend strategies for improvement and assure compliance with Association policies and procedures.

The National Office of The ALS Association is recruiting a Manager, National Signature Events. Reporting to the Senior Director, National Signature Events. The Manager, National Signature Events will primarily be responsible for assisting chapters in expanding their Walk to Defeat ALS® fundraising efforts locally by providing leadership, strategic direction, resources and training. Additionally, the Manager, National Signature Events will work with assigned chapters to provide direction and guidance with a strong focus on meeting financial goals and building a foundation for future growth.
