Support to Defeat ALS

Pete A. Seattle, Washington

Several years ago, my then-girlfriend's father was diagnosed with ALS. It was a big blow to the family because he was the pillar of not only their nuclear family and also their close-knit extended family as well. For years I had been looking for a way to pay tribute to him and raise money to ensure that one day no one will suffer from ALS again. The 2015 ALS Year-Long Sketchathon is an endurance challenge fundraiser where I make and post a new sketch every day and folks donate a few pennies per sketch. The Sketchathon is over on Dec 31, 2015 or when I miss a day of posting. You can make recurring donation of as little as $0.01/sketch at or a one-time, tax-deductible donation at the Sketchathon's ALS Association One Dollar Difference Campaign website ( All funds go to The ALS Association Evergreen Chapter ("per sketch" donations are, sadly, subject to 9% services fees by the website and credit card companies, but otherwise all money is donated to the ALS Association). Please help us honor those we've lost and help those who are suffering!
