My Sister Always Had a Smile on Her Face

Edna L. Bedford, Pennsylvania

Our sister Phoebe passed away with A.L.S. in 2008, she had it for almost 18 years. No matter when or where you ran into her, she always had a smile on her face. The last days were the hardest for her, cause she couldn't do anything, not even talk. But there was one thing she had and that was all the friends and family she had around her day and night, even while she was in the hospital till her last day. My mom moved her into a trailer of which family came and added rooms on for more space and even a large bedroom with an open bathroom. You can't imagine what this disease can do to a person or to one's family till it happens to you. So for my sister Phoebe we love and miss you with all our hearts, but we know that you have a new body that is strong and you are singing and dancing with the angels.
