The ALS Association

I Am So Proud of the Work We Do & The People We Help

Lyndy E. Kansas City, Missouri

I first personally knew someone with ALS about eight years ago, Char Pfeiffer, my friend John's mother. Although I didn't see her often, when I did, watching her change because of this horrible disease was terrible. Watching the changes and stresses that John and his family had to go through was heartbreaking. As we walk each year in the Walk to Defeat ALS in memory of Char, I am hopeful that the scientists and researchers that work tirelessly everyday to find a cure will win the battle and find a cure. I now work for The ALS Association Keith Worthington Chapter and am so proud of the work we do and people we help. However, I do so look forward to the day that I do not have a job anymore because a cure has been found for this horrible disease!
