Mom Is Still Very Active

Deana C. Forest City , North Carolina

Hello. My mother was diagnosed with ALS earlier this year, but it wasn't until earlier this year until she was fully diagnosed. It is breaking our family's heart to see her in this way, and we often feel helpless. She has been given six months or less to live. But I say that God has the final call on that. She also has dementia which does not make things any better. But she is still very active and can still cook up a storm. Our hope is that the doctors can find a way to detect ALS a lot faster and also find a cure.
