The ALS Association

It Is My Hope a Cure Is Found

Aimee W. Anaheim Hills, California

When I was in the 8th grade. my dad was diagnosed with ALS. From the time he was diagnosed he lived four months with it, passing away October 2008. I am an only child, who because of this disease has grown up with a single mom. She does the best she can, but I would never wish my situation on anyone. It is not fair to be told there is nothing doctors can do for you and that you are going to die. It is my hope that one day no other family will have to go through what my family has been though. It is my hope that a cure is found.
