The ALS Association

One of the Thousands of Reasons I Continue to Hope for a Cure

Greg C. Altadena, California

Andrew Fleeson courageously fought ALS for 28 years. He wrote articles, spoke with Members of Congress and served on The ALS Association’s National Board of Trustees. Through it all, he never gave up hope or lost his sense of humor. Once when the subject of baldness came up, Andrew quickly replied: “God made a few perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair.” Of course, Andrew had one of the most perfect heads I’ve ever seen. I am happy to have known Andrew, and I’m a better person for his friendship. He is one of the 30,000 reasons why I continue to hope for a cure.
